Songs are powerful instruments especially through the lyrics. A music lyric is a tool that is used to unite people who have a mutual purpose. Songs such as National Anthems unite the citizens of a nation. They also serve the purpose of portraying the image of the country on international platforms. School songs have the purpose of uniting students and teachers of the school from within. The identity and public image of the school are bound up in these songs. This only shows that music is a very powerful contrivance in human life (Tomlinson et al, 24).Education has the burden of instilling knowledge, expanding minds and churning out responsible morally upright individuals into the society.
